DMSO常用于溶解試劑，也常用于細胞的冷凍保存。過濾除菌時不能使用醋酸纖維素膜，而應該使用PTFE膜。

DMSO不能使用PS、PVC、PC材料的容器，而應該使用LDPE、HDPE、PP材料的容器。

注：該試劑低于熔點溫度保存時易凝固，需37度預熱融化可正常使用。
